It’s Leaking. Here’s What Happens Next.
Call us. We talk you through protecting the inside of your home right now, then get a roofer out to find the entry point, stop the water, and scope the real repair — with photos, in writing.

While You Wait For Us — Do These First
- Protect the inside — Move furniture and electronics out from under the drip; put a bucket under it. If the ceiling bulges, it’s holding water — a small poke in the center of the bulge with a screwdriver relieves it into your bucket instead of across the whole ceiling.
- Stay out of the attic if it’s actively wet — Wet insulation, hidden electrical, and slippery joists are a bad combination. Leave the detective work to us.
- If water is near electrical fixtures, kill the circuit — Breaker off for that room until it’s assessed.
- Photograph everything — The stain, the drip, the damage. If insurance gets involved later, today’s photos are gold.
What We Do On Site
Find the real entry point
Water travels. The stain is where it arrived, not where it entered. We inspect the roof above and around the leak systematically — flashing, valleys, penetrations, and the field of the roof.
Stop the water
Depending on what’s found: immediate repair on the spot, or temporary dry-in protection (tarping or temporary sealing) when weather or scope means the permanent repair happens on the next dry window.
Scope the permanent fix in writing
You get photos of what failed and a written proposal for the permanent repair — or an honest conversation if the leak is a symptom of a roof at end of life. See roof repair and the cost guide.
One Honest Note
We’re a contractor, not a call center. Emergencies get prioritized and answered by people who can actually help — but during a major storm event, all of Southern California leaks at once, and we’ll tell you plainly where you are in line rather than promise what nobody can deliver.
Call 310.880.9718 — if it’s leaking, don’t wait for it to stop on its own.
