The Roofing Arm for Contractors Who Don’t Self-Perform Roofing.
Plenty of good general contractors don’t keep a roofing crew — and plenty of remodels run into a roof whether it was in the scope or not. Mars Roofers is the roofing subcontractor behind those projects: tear-off, replacement, and repair performed by one licensed contractor of record (CSLB #1138550), with the measurements, written numbers, and documentation your proposal and your project file need.

How Contractors Already Use Us
This is specialty-scope work, and it usually starts one of two ways. Either the roof was never yours — you’re building the addition, the remodel, or the whole project, and the roofing line needs a licensed specialist behind it — or the roof became yours mid-project: the tie-in, the leak over the finished ceiling, the existing covering that’s worse than anyone budgeted. Either way, what you need from a roofing sub is the same: a real number before you commit yours, a crew that shows up on your schedule, and paperwork your client file can hold. That’s the arrangement on this page.
Five Ways We Fit Your Project
Roofing subcontractor for your projects
Replacement, tear-off, and repair as a subcontracted scope, performed by our own crews under our own license. One licensed contractor of record for the roofing line: CSLB #1138550 (Mars Construction Industries Corp), licensed and insured, with certificates available for your project file. Your client gets one throat to choke — yours — and you get a roofing scope you don’t have to babysit.
Bid support with numbers that hold
Proposals die on soft roofing numbers. Send us the project and we’ll get on the roof — or work from the plans — and come back with measurements and a fixed written roofing figure you can plug straight into your bid: the same line-item format as the sample estimates on this site, and the same ballpark logic as our roof cost estimator for early budgeting. If the number moves after tear-off, you hear it from us first, in writing.
Remodel tie-ins: where new work meets the old roof
Additions and remodels live or die at the transition. We handle the roofing side of the tie-in: flashing where the new framing meets the existing covering, transitions between roof planes and materials, and dry-in that keeps the project watertight while the build is open. The goal is a seam your client never thinks about — because it never leaks.
Leak diagnosis during construction
Water finds the argument between trades. When a leak shows up mid-build or right after completion, we trace it to its actual source — roof, flashing, or somebody else’s penetration — and document what we find with photographs, so the fix lands on the right scope and the finger-pointing stops.
Overflow and schedule backup
When your own crews are stacked and a roofing deadline isn’t moving, we take the overflow: the replacement that has to happen this month, the repair list that’s been waiting on capacity. Same licensing, same documentation, scheduled around your project’s dates rather than ours.
What You Get From Us
- One licensed contractor of record for the roofing scope — CSLB #1138550, licensed and insured, certificates for your file
- Fixed written numbers for your proposal, from on-roof measurements — not phone guesses
- Crews that schedule to your project timeline and coordinate with your superintendent
- Photo documentation of existing conditions, the work in progress, and the finished scope
- Straight answers on scope questions: if it’s not roofing, we’ll say so — and say whose it is
How It Works
- Send us the project — Call 310.880.9718 or email brett@marsx.construction with the address, the scope you’re pricing or building, and the date your proposal or your project needs the roofing number by.
- We measure and price it — On-roof evaluation and measurements for existing roofs; plan review for new construction. You get a fixed written figure for the roofing scope.
- We build it on your schedule — Tear-off, tie-in, repair, or replacement, sequenced with your other trades and documented as it goes.
- The file closes clean — Completion photos and final documentation for your client file — the same standard we run for home and commercial roof inspections when a project needs a condition record.

FAQ
Are you licensed and insured for our project file?
Yes. Mars Roofers is Mars Construction Industries Corp, CSLB #1138550 — A General Engineering, B General Building, C-36 Plumbing, and C-20 HVAC classifications — licensed and insured, with certificates available for your project file on request. The roofing scope on your project runs under a licensed contractor of record, not a day-labor crew.
Do you bid from plans, or do you need to see the roof?
Both. New construction prices from plans. On existing roofs, we’ll give you a planning number from measurements and photos, but the fixed figure comes after an on-roof look — that’s what keeps the number from moving later. If a job is out for bid, tell us the deadline and we’ll tell you straight whether we can make it.
Will you work to our schedule and alongside our other trades?
That’s the job. Roofing touches framing, stucco, solar, and HVAC, and tie-ins only work if the sequence is coordinated. We schedule with your superintendent, dry-in around open work, and flag conflicts when we see them coming instead of after the rain does.
Do you deal with our client directly?
Only the way you set it up. On subcontracted work we represent your team on site — professional with the client, quiet about everything else. The client relationship stays yours; the roofing scope is ours.
Do you take referrals from other trades?
Regularly — roofers get called by plumbers, HVAC techs, solar installers, and GCs whose clients need roof work outside a current project. If you send homeowners or property managers our way, talk to us about referral arrangements at 310.880.9718 — we’d rather set it up properly than improvise it.
